Registered Insurance Brokers of OntarioThe Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario also known as RIBO is a self-governing, self-supporting organization of general insurance brokers in Ontario regulates the licensing, professional competence, ethical conduct and insurance related financial obligations of all independent general insurance brokers in the province of Ontario. RIBO was established by the Ontario government in 1981 to protect the public during insurance transactions with brokers, through self-governance. Insurance Brokers Association of OntarioThe Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario also known as IBAO is non-profit association representing broker’s interests to government and industry stakeholders with a mission to create an environment where individual brokerages thrive. Insurance Institute of CanadaThe Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC) works with insurance professionals working in the property and casualty insurance industry to enhance their knowledge and skills. They oversee the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation which is viewed as the benchmark of insurance professionalism for individuals. They also manage the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation, the highest professional designation in Canada’s Property & Casualty Insurance Industry.
